NordHaus Design Build is a woman-owned residential remodeling company located in St. Paul, Minnesota. What sets NordHaus apart from other general contractors is our strong focus on open communication. Our mission is to create meaningful relationships with our clients while also strengthening the appreciation they have for their home. We use our design-build experience to nurture and guide our clients through the remodel process, while also taking great pride in our craftsmanship. Our ultimate goal is for you to feel comfortable and at home both during and after the construction phase.

NordHaus Design Build is owned and operated by Mo Cordes-Mayo, a licensed general contractor in Minnesota. She grew up in New York but has lived in Minnesota for many years with her wife and two young children. Mo just finished remodeling the third home that her family has lived in, and is always looking for the next investment property to bring back to life!
In Mo’s words, “At the end of the day, the opportunity to create a welcoming home — for my clients, renters, and my family — keeps me passionate about remodeling and general contracting. From time to time, you’ll also find me biking, paddling on a river, or hiking in the woods.”
In 2017 NordHaus teamed up with Emily Breitenfeldt of MB4 Studio for project management, interior design services, and client communication. Emily has an MFA in Fine Art, and a unique way of approaching remodeling because she also spent several years assisting in restoring old paintings and sculptures! As you might imagine, that makes her a strong process and details person. She works with NordHaus clients to make sure they are happy from start to finish.
NordHaus also has a committed team of professional subcontractors who are extremely skilled and always enthusiastic!
